Third Graders examined the patterns they found in leaves to create beautiful designs that were painted with watercolor paint.

Fifth Graders are learning about the work of Pop Artist Keith Haring. Keith was a boy from Kutztown, Pennsylvania, who started his career drawing graffiti in the New York City subway - now his bright, simple figures are loved by people around the world, including our Fifth Graders!

PK worked on leaf prints this week.

Kindergarten artists also made leaf prints. First we painted a leaf...

Next we placed it on the paper...

Then we rolled it with a brayer...

Finally, a beautiful leaf print!

First Graders had fun creating line sculptures.

PK is working with shapes. They created shape collages and used shape stencils.

Third Graders are also working with shapes. They painted a still life with watercolor that emphasized different shaped objects from around our classroom. They also created a circle design which they will paint next week.

Seventh Graders are practicing their drawing skills by making several sketches of a still life before starting on a value drawing in pencil.

Eighth Graders looked at the work of artist Romare Bearden before starting their own collage project.
